2012 Nantucket Disc Golf "World’s Biggest Disc Golf Weekend" Tournament
When: Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 1pm (registration from 12:30pm-1pm)
Where: Nantucket Disc Golf Course (meet at the Lovers/Ticcoma parking lot)
Entry Fee: $20 (includes registration, WBDGW disc & t-shirt, pen, & scorecard)
Prizes: Yes! For all age/sex groups (Under 8, 8-12, 13-17, 18-55, 55 and over)!
What is WBDGW? : The purpose of this event is to celebrate disc golf, introduce it to people who have not played the sport or just enjoy playing the game while raising money for non-profit organizations. It was founded 22 years ago by the NDG course designer, John Houck, and is still run by him and his wife, Dee. An international event, it is held in over 200 cities and 9 countries every year during the first weekend in May.
The whole emphasis of this tournament is on FUN!
