$1,000 3-Hole Top 4 Pro Cowbell Razz Round Playoff to follow Pro Tournament

3-Hole Cowbell Razz Round Playoff

Following the Pro tournament on Saturday, we will, as always, be holding the infamous and exciting winner-take-all 3-Hole Cowbell Razz Round Playoff. The Top 4 Pros in the tournament will participate in the Razz Round and will select their caddies from the Pros who finish 5th-8th in the tournament. The player/caddie teams will be designated as the Red Team, the Blue Team, the Green Team and the Yellow Team and each caddy will be given a colored vest that will correspond with his/her team's designated color. The Razz Round participants will play holes 16, 17 and 18 (and as many sudden death holes as possible to break any potential ties).

Before the Razz Round begins, spectators will choose which colored team they want to support and will be given a red, blue, green or yellow wristband and cowbell that will correspond with the team they are supporting. Spectators will have an opportunity, DURING PLAY, to yell, ring their cowbell and distract, to their heart's content, those players who they are not rooting for. The only rules here are that spectators may not place themselves between a thrower and the basket, must remain at least five feet away from a thrower, must remain at least three feet from the teepad and may not enter the putting circle. Other than that, anything and everything goes.

The winner of the Razz Round will collect $1000 AND the caddie for the winner will receive $100 AND spectators who root for the winning player can turn in their winning-colored wristband to collect a free disc as a prize!

Needless to say, you need to stick around for this exciting playoff if you can, if for no other reason than to try to win yourself the free disc!

$2000 8-Hole Touring Pro Mixed Doubles Skins Match (Day & Time TBD)

Four male and four female Touring Pros will compete in the Touring Pro Skins Match

In the Skins Match, the highest-rated male player will be paired with the lowest-rated female player, the next-to-highest-rated male player will be paired with the next-to-lowest-rated female player and so on and so on to determine the four mixed doubles teams

Par 3s will be Tough Shot, Par 4s will be Alternate Shot and Par 5s will be Best Shot

Holes 1-4: $150/hole
Hole 5: $250
Hole 16: $300
Hole 17: $350
Hole 18: $500

Note: For those wishing to get in some practice at the course during this time, you are welcome to play around the Skins Match and/or play on the other holes of the course

2020 USADGC Qualifier

For those coming over to Nantucket the morning of your tournament, please be aware that the ONLY ferry that will get you to the island in time for your tournament on either day is the 6:10 AM Hy-Line Fast Ferry. Free transportation to the course via private vehicles will be provided to those arriving on Nantucket on this ferry at 7:10 AM on both Saturday and Sunday mornings.

For those wishing to bring their vehicle with them to Nantucket, please be aware that this is, unfortunately, very costly and difficult to do. To start, the Steamship Authority Slow Ferry is the only ferry that can accommodate passengers with vehicles. The cost to bring a vehicle to the island on this ferry is $400 round-trip during September and vehicle availability for weekends during this time is usually very limited, unless booked well in advance. All this said, we encourage those coming over to the tournament to leave their vehicles at the ferry lots in Hyannis and take either public transportation to the course/campsite/lodging or the tournament-provided free transportation from the Hy-Line ferry terminal to the course on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

NANTUCKET HOSTEL

Nantucket Disc Golf is offering a LIMITED number of beds in a co-ed dorm at the Nantucket Hostel at 31 Western Avenue on Friday night and Saturday night. The cost is $40/bed/night. If you are unable to secure a hostel bed due to the beds being sold out, you can put yourself on our hostel bed waitlist for $1/bed/night.

Keep in mind that reservations for hostel beds are FIRST-COME, FIRST-SERVED, so if you are looking to stay overnight on the island and sleeping at the campsite is not your thing, make sure and register for our tournament the second registration opens to increase the chance that you can secure a hostel bed for yourself!

The Nantucket Hostel is approximately 3.2 miles from the ferries and town. The WAVE Bus Surfside Beach Route that services the hostel ends its summer run just days before the tournament, howevever the WAVE Bus Micaomet Loop Route picks up downtown at the Greenhound Bus Stop at 10 Washington St and drops off at the Fairgrounds Road/Surfside Road stop, which is just 1.3 miles from the Nantucket Hostel. The hostel is just 2 miles from the NDGC.

Download the Transloc Rider app (iOS & Android) to locate the real-time location of the WAVE buses so you can accurately plan your arrival at the bus stops.

Complimentary transportation from the hostel to the tournament via private vehicles will be provided on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

CAMPING

Reserve & pay for camping when registering for the tournament or Paypal $10/night to [email redacted] and specify which night(s) you want camping for. Camping is fairly primitive, though there will be barbecue grills, a disc golf basket and a porta potty on site. Camping spots are for tournament guests only and are limited and first-come, first-served. Unfilled camping spots will be released for purchase by players' guests 2 weeks before the tournament. The campsite is only about a 10 minute walk from hole #1. Camping details, including a map to the campsite with WAVE bus route information, will be emailed out to all campers 2 weeks prior to the tournament. Please note that, per the State, camping is prohibited at the course and throughout the Nantucket State Forest. Also, due to the close proximity of many of our course neighbors, we must ask that there be NO GLOW DISC PLAY at the course during the evenings. We will have a basket at the campgrounds though which you may use during the evenings to your heart’s content!

OTHER LODGING

For those wishing to booking a hotel on your own, rooms in September on Nantucket are expensive (they start at around $300/night), however Nantucket Visitor Services (508-228-0925) might be able to help you locate a lower-cost option at a Bed & Breakfast. You can also check on prices and availability for many Nantucket Bed & Breakfasts at http://nantucketlodging.org. Finally, booking an island home on VRBO or Airbnb for a group might also be a relatively economical option.

Tournament Day Luggage Storage

Though Nantucket Disc Golf does not have a secure storage area at the course, you may leave your bags, camping equipment, and other personal items next to us at the tournament headquarters' tent next to teepad #16 during your tournament rounds and we'll do our best to look after it.

Refund policy

Per the PDGA's refund policy, withdrawals made 14 days or more prior to the start of the event shall be refunded 100%. Withdrawals made within 14 days of the event will be refunded only if the player's spot is filled by someone off the waitlist.
